Classroom Visuals.  Instructional materials, bulletin boards, displays, and other visuals in the classroom reflect the racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds represented by the students.

Activity 1

Consistent Encouragement. Offer consistent verbal encouragement and support.

Compliments are given. Teachers are given marble jars and each time a compliment is given the teacher puts a marble in the jar. Once the jar fills up, the class gets a party. If there are any outburts from individuals in the class the jar gets dumped out and the class has to start again- great for collective accountability
